Only One Verse Will Be Enough

God has taught human nature about both evil and good. In reality, we have been told about everything at an unconscious level. We have to bring this from the unconscious to the conscious mind. This is known as a discovery.

I read in a hadith that once a person came to the Prophet and accepted Islam. Whenever a person accepted Islam, the Prophet would arrange for his training with a senior Companion. This is an incident from Madinah. People used to regularly meet at mosques. After some days, the Prophet didn’t see this person. He enquired Hazarat Ali about this person. Hazarat Ali replied that he left without saying anything. The Prophet said: If anybody sees this man, bring him to me. When someone saw that man, he brought him to the Prophet. The Prophet asked him: Why did you leave? He said: You advised me to learn religion. After learning, I left. The Prophet asked: How did you learn? The person recited a chapter from the last part of the Quran. He said: I found the whole religion in this chapter.  فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ Whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it; while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. (99:7-8) He said: I found the whole religion in this verse. If a person's conscience is alive, if his conscience is not dead, then it will keep guiding him. It is said: خذ ما صفا ودع ما كدر  (If you find it in agreement with your conscience, do it. If it goes against your conscience, leave it) He said: Now I judge everything by my conscience. My conscience is my judge. When my inner nature says something is not right, I leave it. When my nature says I am right, I go ahead. The Prophet said: This person has understood religion. If a person has sincere desire, sincere search and the spirit to find, then only one chapter or one verse will be enough for his guidance. The fact is that truth is already within us.  بَلْ هُوَ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ فِي صُدُورِ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ (29.49) The truths mentioned in the Quran are already a part of human nature. The Quran says: فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا. God has taught human nature about both evil and good.  In reality, we have been told about everything at an unconscious level. We have to bring this from the unconscious to the conscious mind. This is known as a discovery.
